About me

I am a research officer at the International Monetary Fund, based in Washington D.C. I work with data and perform statistical analysis to explore factors that affect economic growth and development in countries across the world. This research is featured in key IMF publications that aim to inform country authorities, policy makers, and the general public of the most recent developments in the global economy and the pressing challenges that face our societies today. To learn more about the work of our division see this CNBC video.

I have a passion for unearthing and working with massive amounts of raw data from a range of sources including central banks, supervisory authorities, international organizations, commercial data providers, research institutes, and the world wide web. In my work I use a variety of tools—such as Stata, Python, R, MATLAB, SQL, Excel VBA, among others—to write computer code to collect, process, analyze, and visualize the data.
